First introduced in 1965, the Bender-Fuzz was one of the first Fuzz pedals on the market. Loved for its raspy, aggressive sonics, ringing sustain, and dynamic sensitivity, its unmistakable sound helped shape Rock music from the Psychedelic era through Shoegaze and beyond. Initially manufactured by Sola-sound, Vox, and others, the MK1 and MK2 versions of the infamous Fuzz were discontinued by the early 1970s, becoming priceless collectors' items. Now, over a half-century later, the timeless “secret weapon” fuzz used by everyone from Jimmy Page and Mick Ronson through Kevin Shields and J. Mascis is back.
Almost 60 years since the iconic UK Fuzz arrived, Behringer’s Buzz Blender recreates the iconic MK-1 and MK-2 sound and performance for even less than you'd expect to pay for a quality cable. True to Behringer’s long list of re-born classics, the Buzz Bender Behringer is more than just a carefully re-engineered pedal. The metal enclosure has the same classic sloped front shape, but it’s smaller, more efficient size, giving you more pedalboard real estate. An additional switch allows you to toggle between the rare original MK1 circuit and the later MK2 version, each with a unique harmonic range. Additionally, the Behringer Buzz Bender can be placed anywhere in your signal chain without compromising pick sensitivity, and it works equally well with single coils or humbuckers.
- Controls for Level (output) and Attack for dialing in subtle to deep saturation.
- Cleans up well using Guitar volume control
- Works great with Humbucking pickups
- Vintage style transistors
- True bypass operation
- Runs on a 9-Volt battery or the Behringer PSU-SB DC power supply (not included)
